Edie Bockewitz, 71, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 12:07 p.m., Friday, May 30, 2014 at Presence Covenant Medical Center, Urbana, IL, surrounded by her loving family.
Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL with Rev. Joseph Carter officiating. Private family visitation will be held. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, Tuscola, IL has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Edie was born on March 29, 1943 in Rockport, IN, the daughter of William A. and Margaret A. Bowman Welch. She married Ned A. Bockewitz in 1965 at Tuscola, IL. He preceded her in death on June 4, 1990.
Survivors include her son: Brad (Beth) Bockewitz of Tuscola, daughter: Traci (Scott) Reed of Tuscola, grandchildren: Kyle (Angela) Conner, Krysta Conner and Kelsey Conner all of Tuscola, great-grandsons: John, Jayden and Parker, sister-in-law: Priscella Welch of Florida, niece: Melody Welch and her daughter: Cali, and nephew: Mike (Susie) Welch.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother: Malcom Welch
Edie retired from Littlefuse, where she worked for over 29 years. She loved gardening, working in her yard and she loved her jewelry.
