Truman "Eddie" Edward Cloyd, 50, of Lerna, died at 11:13 a.m. Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital surrounded by his family.

Eddie was born August 18, 1972, in Mattoon the son of Truman and Kay Webb Cloyd, Jr.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust Street, Arcola. Burial will follow in the Arcola Cemetery.   Visitation will be held from noon until time of services.

He is survived by his mother, Kay (Darrell) Barnes of Lerna; sister, Angie (Joe) Hernandez of Lake Mattoon; niece, Mechelle (Chase) Steenburg; nephew, Joey Hernandez; great nieces, Emma Steenburg and Madi Hernandez; great nephew, Jax Hernandez; several aunts, uncles,and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his father, Truman Cloyd, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Truman and Wanda Cloyd; maternal grandparents, Francis and Victoria Webb; several aunts, uncles,and cousins.

Eddie attended Armstrong School for 14 years.  He had worked at CCAR in the recycling department.
