Doug Ball, 38, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 9:47 p.m., Sunday, March 15, 2009 at the Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 19, 2009 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL, with the Rev. Patty Johansen officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL

Doug was born on March 14, 1971 in Tuscola, IL, the son of Robert Douglas Ball, Sr. and Edith Mae Noble.

Survivors include his partner of 15 years: Jim Bready of Tuscola, IL, his dog: A.J., Mother: Edith M. Hastings of Niantic, IL, Step-Mother: Irene Ball of Tuscola, IL, Materal Grandmother: Violet Noble of Niantic, IL, Paternal Grandmother: Marlene Ball of Tuscola, IL, 3 Brothers: Rodger Ball of Tuscola, IL, Joshua Bradley of Niantic, IL, Toby Ball of Tuscola, IL, 2 Nieces: Haylen Ball and Raeyan Bradley, Special Friends: Juna & Jaki Ottolini, April, Chase, Hunter, Ronda and Molly.

He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents and many aunts and uncles.

Doug was an assistant manager at the Children's Place in Tuscola, IL. He was a 1989 graduate of Tuscola Community High School. He loved his family enormously.
