Obituary
Doss Robert Heath, 88, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 4:00 a.m., Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Presence Covenant Medical Center, Urbana, IL
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 30, 2017 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL, with Rev. Kenneth Roedder officiating.
Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Doss was born on July 30, 1928 in Blytheville, Arkansas, the son of George Robert and Lucille Chance Heath. He married Joan J. Schlosser on September 9, 1950 in Cape Girardeau, MO. She survives.
Also surviving are his sons: Paul Robert (Anita) Heath of Mahomet, IL and Richard Wayne Heath of Falls Church, VA, daughter: Linda Heath (Eric Fiegenbaum) of Madbury, NH, grandchildren: Stephanie Heath of Savoy, Jason Heath of Champaign and Katie Fiegenbaum of Madbury, NH, sister: Helen (Marion) Coburn of Oak Ridge, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Doss retired in 1992 from USI-Quantum Chemical Company in Tuscola, where he worked for 38 years as an instrument supervisor.
He served his country during the Korean War in the US Army.
Doss was a member of the VFW Post and was an avid Cardinals fan.
Memorials are suggested to the Tuscola Senior Citizens Center.
