Dorothy Mae Traxler, 94, of Sullivan, IL, formerly of Atwood, IL, passed away at 8:40 am, Saturday, November 20, 2010 at the St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, IL
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL, with Dr. Lanny Faulkner officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL
Mrs. Traxler was born on July 27, 1916 in Atwood, IL, the daughter of Alfred D. and Daisy M. Flickinger Shonkwiler. She married Truman Dale Traxler on June 27, 1936 in Atwood, IL. He preceded her in death on September 4, 2002.
Survivors include: 1 son: Dale Dwayne Traxler of Bloomington, IL, 1 daughter: Diana Lynn Sellers of Atwood, IL, 6 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son: David Traxler, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Mrs. Traxler was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Atwood, Atwood Order of the Eastern Star and Royal Neighbors.
