Dorothy B. Otto, 92, of Tuscola, IL passed away at 1:40 p.m. Sunday, January 1, 2017 at the Tuscola Health Care Center, Tuscola, IL.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Atwood, 231 North Illinois St., Atwood, IL with Dr. Lanny Faulkner officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the church. Burial will be in the Hall Cemetery, rural Blue Mound, IL. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL is assisting the family with arrangements.

Dorothy was born June 12, 1924 in Hindsboro, IL, the daughter of Alva Kyner and Dora Alice Brown Hall.
She married Gideon Duane Otto on October 20, 1946. He preceded her in death on July 2, 1997.

She is survived by 3 daughters: L. Sue Elder and husband Tuck of Tuscola, IL; S. Kaye Snyder and husband Tony of Findlay, IL and Linda L. Jent and husband Danny of Tuscola, IL; 2 sons: David D. Otto; Michael J. Otto and wife Lacrecia of Tuscola, IL; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers: Alford Kyner Hall, Carl Leon Hall, Alfred Lee Hall and Leo Emerson Hall and a sister: Merl Frances Cook, 2 nieces and 2 nephews.

She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Atwood, where she was involved in the church choir, helped with youth groups and numerous other activities. Dorothy enjoyed gardening, crocheting, canning and doing embroidery. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
