Dorothy M. Kleiss, 93, of Pesotum, IL, passed away at 6:00 a.m., Sunday, June 17, 2012 at the Tuscola Health Care Center, Tuscola, IL
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, June 22, 2012 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL, with Father Barry Harmon and Pastor Brian Rummery officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 21, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Pesotum, IL
Dorothy was born on June 12, 1919 in Bondville, IL, the daughter of Walter and Vina Shadoan Moore. She married Raphael Kleiss. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include 2 sons: Stephen R. Kleiss of Tuscola, IL, Vernon E. Kleiss of Pesotum, IL, 3 daughters: Connie E. Lee of Tuscola, IL, Janice L. Small of Champaign, IL and Mary L. Burwell of Savoy, IL, 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. 2 brothers: Paul Moore of Champaign, IL and Kenneth Moore of Tuscola, IL,
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, 7 sisters and a granddaughter.
Dorothy worked hard as a homemaker and raising 5 children, still finding time to travel, which she loved.
The family would like to thank Tom Stephenson and all the staff at the Tuscola Health Care Center for all the love and attention shown to Dorothy during her time there.
