Dorothy M. Kleiss, 86, of Tuscola, IL, died at 9:30 PM, Thursday, May 4, 2006 at the Champaign County Nursing Home, Urbana, Illinois

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church, 201 East Van Allen Street, Tuscola, IL, with Father Allen Kemme as celebrant. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM, Monday, May 8, 2006 with a vigil service held at 7 PM at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL. Burial will be in the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Pesotum, IL

Mrs. Kleiss was born on May 25, 1919 in Ivesdale, IL, the daughter of Weaver and Elizabeth Pankau Tabaka. She married James C. Kleiss on November 23, 1939 in Tuscola, IL. He preceded her in death on May 27, 2005

Survivors include: 3 Sons: William Kleiss and wife: Charlotte of Tuscola, IL, Joe Kleiss and wife: Jacki of Cary, NC, Cliff Kleiss of Jacksonville, FL, 2 Daughters: Lois Charehsazan and husband: Saivi of Savoy, IL, Marilyn Morey of Normal, IL, 8 Grandchildren, 6 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Step-Grandchildren, 7 Step-Great-Grandchildren, 1 Sister: Betty Whalen of Bement, IL

She was preceded in death by her Parents, 1 Brother: Milton Tabaka and 1 Sister: Jane Weber.

Mrs. Kleiss was a homemaker. She was a member of the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church and Altar Society. She was a member of the Holy Name Society.
