Dorothy Ann Bright, 87, of Arcola, died at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the Arthur Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday May 5, 2018 at Shrader Funeral Home, 204 North Locust Street, Arcola, with Jeff Wohead as officiant. Burial will follow in the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service.

Dorothy was born April 7, 1931 in Champaign the daughter of Dan and Alta Younger Walls. She married Bobby Bright in Arcola on January 27, 1951; he preceded her in death on April 4, 2018.

She is survived by 3 children, Janis (William) Navigato of Savoy; Steve (Vicky) Bright of Arcola; Pam (Jeff) Wohead of Bastrop, Texas; grandchildren, Gregory Wohead, Patrick (Anglea) Bright, Stacy (Ben) Bartle, Ryan (Crystal) Navigato, Bradlee Navigato; great grandsons, Keaton Mowery, Bridger Bartle, and Gavin Bright; sisters, Mary Ballenberger, Helen Logan, and Genevieve Green. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Robert Walls.

Dorothy was a graduate of Arcola High School Class of 1949. She was a member of the Arcola United Methodist Church.

She loved spending time with her family, playing games and cards, especially bridge. She was a wonderful cook and avid reader.
