Doris W. "Dot" Threet, 93, of Savoy, IL, passed away at 10:05 a.m., Friday, March 31, 2023 at the Champaign Urbana Nursing & Rehab, Savoy, IL

Private Graveside Services will be held at the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL

Doris was born on October 20, 1929 at Galton, IL, the daughter of E.S. and Eda Cordts Wetzel. She married James K. Threet on Aprill 13, 1952 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Tuscola, IL. He preceded her in death on January 30, 2021.

Survivors include her son: Mike (Jutta) Threet, sister: Wanda (Roger) Long of Atwood, several nieces and nephews.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband: Jim of 68+ years of marriage, son: Tom Threet, parents, baby brother: Bobby and sister: Betty (John) Alexander.

Dot graduated from Atwood High School in 1947 and attended Eastern Illinois University. She was employed as a secretary beginning with the University of Illinois Veterinary College, Hillard Agency, Raymond Lee Attorney, Polk Community College in Winter Haven, FL and retired in 2002 from St. John Lutheran Church of Champaign, where she and her husband were members.
