Doris Lee "Eva" Wheeler, 83, of Arthur, died at 6:45 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at the Arthur Cemetery with Ron Bartanen officiating.  Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur, is handling the arrangements.

Eva was born June 24, 1934 in Fountain Run, Kentucky, the daughter of Walter Edward and Sinia C. Brandon Wheeler.

She is survived by her sister, Lyla Mae Riley of Arthur; cousins, O.J. and Rebecca Hurt of Fountain Run, Kentucky; Frank and Suzanna Wheeler of Nashville, TN; Tom Wheeler of Indiana; John and Linda Creek of TN; Joanne and Frank Dattilo of Madison, IN; Mary Wilson of Bowling Green, KY; Joe and Nancy Cornwell, Glenith and Bobby Morrison, and Rebecca and Larry Pitcock all of Fountain Run, KY; Marie and Dave Solomon of Princeton, IN; Betty and Jerry Crabtree of Nashville, TN; and special friends, Gale Brooks of Arthur, and Barbara and Boyd Stenger. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Chuck Riley; 4 cousins, Janet Copeland, Brenda Oliver, Emma Welch, and Lee Maine.

Eva graduated from Tuscola High School in 1952. She had been employed by Brown Shoe Company for 23 years and also Schrock Cabinets for 23 years. She was a member of the Arthur Church of Christ.

Eva will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
