Doris E. Humphrey, 82, of Atwood, passed away at 8:17 a.m. Friday, October 8, 2010 at the Champaign County Nursing Home, Urbana.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010 at Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 E US Highway 36, Atwood, with Pastor Duane Piercy officiating.
Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mackville Cemetery Atwood.

Mrs. Humphrey was born September 9, 1928 the daughter of Coy A. and Myra A. Shonkwiler Shipman. She married Shelton Lee Humphrey in Atwood on August 22, 1950. He preceded her in death May 2, 1981.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Ervin) Kauffman of Urbana; son, Robert (Audrey) Humphrey of Arcola; 7 grandchildren, Dan, Rick, Cory, Mike, Becky, Sandra Lynn, and Kevin; 15 great grandchildren, Lindsey, Devon, Timothy, Tiffany, Emily, Myra, Elizabeth, Wayne, Brittany, Hunter, Madison, Austin, Brooke, Shinia, Amiee, Skyler; and 2 great great granddaughters, Addison and Leah.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Shelton; sister, Mary; brothers, Howard and Jack; daughter, Pam; and great granddaughter, Peyton.

She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, watching soap operas, and listening to country music. She will be missed by her family but joins our Lord.
