Doris Marie Beaty, 80, of Arcola, died at 4:28 AM Thursday, December 19, 2013 at the Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home in Mattoon.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust Street, Arcola, with Rev. Brent Budd officiating. Burial will follow in the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.

Doris was born March 4, 1933 in Arcola, the daughter of John and Elfrieda Torrey Russell. She was united in marriage to Harold Beaty on November 14, 1952 in Arthur.

Survivors include her loving husband, Harold Beaty of Arcola; son, Steve (Diane) Beaty of Hindsboro; granddaughter, Lesley (Dustin) Baker of Arcola; great granddaughter, Avery Baker of Arcola; step granddaughter, Renee` Fonner of Hindsboro; step grandson, Trey (Cheri) Fonner of Silt, Colorado; step great grandson, Keagan Baah of Hindsboro; 2 sisters, Barbara Fore of Humboldt; Nancy (Jerry) Reynolds of Tuscola; 2 brothers, Ken (Nancy) Russell of Humboldt; Jack (Nancy) Russell of Arthur; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jim Russell; sister-in-law, Ruth Russell; and brother-in-law, Fred Fore.

Doris was a member of the Arcola First Christian Church and the Galton's Ladies Club. She had worked as a telephone operator in Arthur, at Ead's Store in Arthur, Arcola TruValue, and the 1871 Luncheonette in Tuscola.
