Obituary

Donald Licrus Warner, 86, of Atwood, IL, passed away at 2:20 a.m., Sunday, August 2, 2009 at the Tuscola Health Care Center, Tuscola, IL

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 6, 2009 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m, Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL with military graveside rites accorded.

Mr. Warner was born on April 18, 1923 in rural Piatt County, IL, the son of Fred J. and Florence Beebe Warner. He married Alfredia Wells on June 3, 1946 in Garrett, IL. She survives.

Other survivors include 3 Sons: Donald Edward Warner and wife: Shirley, Thomas Eugene Warner, Rocky Allen Warner and wife: Donna all of Garrett, IL, 1 Daughter: Sue Ellen Felton of Tuscola, IL, 9 Grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren, 3 Brothers: Kenneth Warner and wife: Lilly and Dicky Warner both of Atwood, IL, Larry Warner and wife: Becky of Bourbon, IL, 2 Sisters: Mary Carroll of Atwood, IL, June Tuggle of Sullivan, IL

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother: Wilford Warner

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association

Mr. Warner was a 58 year member of the Laborer Local #573 & #159, having retired in 1985. He was a 62 year member of the James Reeder American Legion Post #770, Atwood, IL. Don was a member of the Arthur United Methodist Church. He served his country during World War II as a member of the US Army, serving under General George Patton's 3rd Army, 282nd Combat Engineers, Company C.
