Donald J. (D J) Brewer, Jr. 54, of Casey, died at 4:50 a.m.Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

D J was born March 16, 1967 in Effingham, the son of Donald J. and Norma Maxine Delp Brewer.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Olivia Judson of Charleston; Jordan Brewer of Stevens Point, Wisconsin; 2 sisters, Mescal Winans of Casey; Sarah Brewer of Greenup; 2 aunts, Joella Meidel and Jean (Don) Breiner both of Springfield; many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

D J graduated from Casey-Westfield High School Class of 1986.  He worked as an EMT for Shrader Ambulance Service for 20 years and also for the Casey Ambulance Service for several years. He also served as the EMA Director in Casey.

D J was a member of the Illinois Tomahawk Throwing Association. He enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards, listening to Big Foot audiobooks, and spending time with family and friends.

Memorials are suggested to the American Kidney Foundation or the American Heart Association.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, Feb.19, 2022 from 1:00-3:00 p.m.at Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust Street, Arcola.
