It is with great sadness that the family of Diann Smith Hance announce her sudden passing on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at the age of 66 with her family by her side.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 42 years, Ronald W Hance; children: Benjiman Hance (Jamie) and Amanda Rubush (Jeremy); grandchildren: Gabriella, Aydan, and Jace Rubush; step-grandchildren: Julianna Jones and Jacob Jones (Katie); step-great grandson Everett Jones; sister: Leann Spurlock (Bill); as well as numerous relatives and friends.

She was preceded by her son, Bart Hance; and parents: Wayne and Edna Mae Smith.

She was a compassionate and caring person who liked to show her love to others through baking and cooking. She was an avid lover of all things Disney and showing that you can never be too old to feel like a kid again. She found joy in attending her grandchildren's many sport events as well as encouraging everyone around her to be their best selves.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM, on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at the Tuscola Township Cemetery, 1000 East Southline Road, Tuscola, IL 61953.

Memorial donations may be made in Diann Smith Hance's name to the Douglas County Animal Shelter, 1007 South Central Avenue East, Tuscola, IL 61953.
