DeWayne Snyder, 51, of rural Atwood, IL, died at 3:54 PM, Saturday, August 5, 2006 as a result of an automobile accident.

Memorial Services will be held at 11 A.M., Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at the Arthur Mennonite Church, 710 East Park Street, Arthur, IL, with Pastor Glen Rhodes officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-8 P.M., Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at the church.

The Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, Illinois has been entrusted by the family with the arrangements.

Mr. Snyder was born on October 14, 1954 in Tuscola, IL, the son of Clarence and Edrie Anderson Snyder. He married Sandra L. "Sandy" Oye on February 24, 1974 in Arthur, IL. She survives.

Other survivors include: 1 Son: Jeffrey Snyder and wife: Rebecca of Villa Grove, IL, Mother: Edrie McCormick of Manito, IL, 1 Brother: Clarence Snyder of Georgia,
1 Sister: Karen Wambold-Scheid of Easton, PA, Many extended loving family members.
Mr. Snyder was expecting the birth of his first grandchild in January 2007.

He was preceded in death by his Father and Step-Father: Mac McCormick

Mr. Snyder was a superintendent for Howell Paving Company in Mattoon, Illinois. He was a member of the Tuscola Moose Lodge and the Mattoon Eagles Club. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. He loved to travel and do yard work at his home. He was a very giving and loving person and had a heart of gold. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
