Dennis Lee "Beast" Willoughby, 65, of Tuscola, IL, died on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the Halifax Health Medical Center, Daytona Beach, FL from complications of a motorcycle accident and a bad heart.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Dennis was born on July 28, 1953 in Tuscola, IL, the son of James B. and Margaret A. Milam Willoughby.
Survivors include his daughter: Kristine Willoughby of South Bend, IN, his mother: Margaret Willoughby Campbell of Tuscola, brothers: Richard (Rita) Willoughby of Tuscola and Jon (Bonnadelle) Willoughby of Mattoon, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends all over the country.
He was preceded in death by his father and passed away just 5 days after his older brother: David Willoughby.
He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast traveling many thousands of miles on many different bikes. Dennis loved his Harley's and BMW's and tolerated his Honda scooter, when he couldn't shift his regular motorcycle any more. He trilled young and old alike with rides in his sidecar or on the back of his normal bike. Dennis was loved by many and cussed by a few and sometimes they were the same people. He was fun to be around, entertaining, knowledgeable and down to earth.
Dennis worked for the C-U MTD as a bus driver for well over 30 years. He was a great son, brother, uncle and friend to all.
