Delbert LeeRoy Pagel, Sr., 84, of Atwood, IL, passed away at 1:19 p.m., Thursday, December 19, 2013 at his residence.
Mr. Pagel was born on October 11, 1929 in Bible Grove, IL, the son of Everett August and Gatha Iona Reeves Pagel. He married Pauline Sparks on June 1, 1956 in Covington, IN. She survives.
Other survivors include: 4 sons: Delbert (Diane) Pagel, Jr., Thomas (Kim) Pagel, Frank (Avie) Pagel, Sr., and Kerry Pagel, 3 daughters: Belinda Baldwin, Jackie (Jason) Tuthill and Kelley (Keith) Frazier, 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers: Herman (Doris) Pagel, Kenny Pagel and Everett Pagel, and 3 sisters: Dorothy (Herbert) Cole, Wanda West and Lois Goen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter: Deborah Pagel, 1 brother and 2 sisters.
Mr. Pagel worked as a roofer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and wood working.
Per his wishes, no services will be held. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, Atwood, IL is entrusted with the arrangements.
