David R. Enyart, 65, of Murdock, IL, passed away at 2:30 a.m., Thursday, March 30, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL.
Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL. Burial will be at a later date in the Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield, IL.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Mr. Enyart was born August 2, 1951 in Tuscola, IL, the son of William L. and Alta Dallas Enyart, Sr. He married Stacey Dee Beaupre on June 9, 2012 in Walnut Point State Park, Oakland, IL. She preceded him in death on November 13, 2014.
David is survived by his son: James W. Enyart and fiancé: Christine Hopkins of Colorado Springs, CO; 2 grandsons: Benjamin and Jacob Hopkins of Colorado Springs, CO; brother: William L. Enyart, Jr. and wife: Annette Eckert of Belleville, IL; 2 nephews: James D. "Jay" Enyart and wife: Tanya and Alex Enyart ; a great-nephew: Gavin Enyart all of Belleville, IL.
David graduated from Western Kentucky University with a BA in English. He was an United States Army veteran serving during Vietnam, where he received a combat infantry badge and an air assault badge. He retired as 1 st Sergeant after 20 years of service. David was an instructor with the Lincoln's Challenge Academy in Rantoul, IL for several years. He was a member of the American Legion Post #27 and TK Martin VFW Post #10009 both in Tuscola, IL.
