Darryl Everett Reifsteck, 80, of Tuscola, passed away on Wednesday evening, October 23, 2024 at his residence.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, October 28, 2024 at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 101 East Church Street, Sadorus, IL. Burial will follow in the Tuscola Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, October 27, 2024 at the church.

Darryl was born on September 29, 1944 in Champaign County, the oldest son of Everett and Opal Rahn Reifsteck. He married Judith K. Garner on July 14, 1963 at Sadorus, IL. She survives.

Also surviving are his children: Michael Reifsteck of Tuscola, Sherri Reifsteck of Arcola and Tim (Jennifer) Reifsteck of Tuscola, 6 grandchildren: Dustin Schum, Cody Schum, Brandon Reifsteck, Taylor Reifsteck, Haley Reifsteck and Kaitlyn Reifsteck, 3 great-grandchildren: Andrew Fonner, Alexander "Xander" Schum and Kai Reifsteck.

Additional family members include Darryl's 8 brothers: Denny (Theresa) Reifsteck of Pesotum, Duane (Chris) Reifsteck of Sidney, Donald (Pam) Reifsteck of Tolono, Douglas (Jody) Reifsteck of Tolono, Dexter (Sue) Reifsteck of Tolono, Delbert Reifsteck of Pesotum, Daman (Kathy) Reifsteck of Tolono and Darin (Karen) Reifsteck of Villa Grove, 5 sisters: Diann (Bill) O'Donnell of Champaign, Darlene Wiesener of Tuscola, Donna (Jeff) Grimm of Villa Grove, Deborah (Stephen) Daily of Tolono, Darla (Brian) Walker of Urbana, many nieces and nephews and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers: Dean and Dan Reifsteck.

Darryl worked as an auto mechanic at Bissey's for 11 years and Illini FS, where he worked for 33 years prior to his retirement.

Memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or to the Douglas County Animal Shelter.
