Darryl Lee Fancher

Darryl Lee Fancher, 55, of Villa Grove, Illinois, passed away on September 2, 2026, leaving behind many memories that will forever be treasured by those who loved him.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 10, 2026 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL. 

Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Darryl was born on November 17, 1970, in Urbana, Illinois, the beloved son of Garry Fancher and the late Joyce Ann Fancher.

He was the father of four children, Tyler, Eric, Dylan, and Kali and he had 13 grandchildren. Darryl was also the beloved brother of Deandra Deedrick and brother-in-law of John Deedrick.

Darryl held a special place in the lives of his nephew, Adam, and his nieces, Jennifer, Danielle, Sheyenne, and Olivia. But family to Darryl went far beyond names and bloodlines. He was affectionately known as “Uncle Darryl” to many people who loved him, a name that showed just how special he was to so many.

Darryl loved to joke around and make people laugh. His sense of humor and the laughter he brought to those around him will always be remembered. He had a love for Harley-Davidson and enjoyed everything about the Harley lifestyle. He also shared a very special bond with his beloved dog, Sky, his faithful companion who meant so much to him.

Darryl shared a very special bond with his sister, Deandra. She was by his side during some of the hardest days of his life, caring for him, comforting him, and making sure he knew he was loved. Through the good days, the difficult days, the laughter, and the tears, she never stopped being his sister and loving him.

Deandra will forever treasure their memories, especially his sense of humor and the times he made her laugh. A piece of her heart will always belong to her brother, and Darryl will be loved and missed more than words can ever say.

Darryl was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Ann Fancher.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the many people who were lucky enough to call him “Uncle Darryl.”
