Darren Scott Kestner, 56, of Oakland, IL, passed away at 5:59 a.m., Monday, September 19, 2022 at the Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 7, 2022 at the Tuscola United Methodist Church, 901 North Prairie Street, Tuscola, IL with Rev. Terri Haas officiating.

Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the church.

Darren was born on November 4, 1965 at Batavia, NY, the son of Alan and Verda Chupp Kestner. He married Jacqueline Christina Hall on October 11, 1997. She survives.

Also surviving is his mother: Verda Rentschler of Cooks Mills, brothers: Jim (Tammy) Kestner of Pesotum and Mark Kestner of CT, step-sisters: Monica (Mel) McGregor of Oakland and Kristy (Frank) Inman of Urbana.

He was preceded in death by his father and step-father: Mike Rentschler.

Darren previously worked as a laborer at USI and enjoyed being an artist. He loved his many animals and barn chickens. He had an ability to build anything and do anything for anyone who needed help.
