Danny K. Ragle, 70, of Pesotum, IL, passed away on Sunday morning, July 31, 2016 at his residence.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Davis Memorial Cemetery, Pesotum, IL with military graveside rites accorded.

Danny was born on December 24, 1945 in Urbana, IL, the son of Phillip and Hazel Liggett Ragle. He married Joyce Lee Jewell-Mink on August 16, 1975 in Urbana, IL. She survives.

Also surviving are his four children: Dana Ragle of Pesotum, Kim (Kyle) Thomas of Fisher, Ron (Danielle) Ragle of Fisher, Danielle (Steve) Vickers of Champaign, ten grandchildren: Dustin, Jourdan and Chase Vickers, Kayl (Ginny), Kody (Allison) and Kade Thomas, Morgan Chumbley, Cole, Calen and Corbin Ragle. five great-grandchildren: Kendall Vickers, Kanen, Quinn, Kylar and Carlee Thomas, three brothers: Junior (Annette) Ragle of Minot, ND, John (Mary Ann) Ragle of Argenta and Roger (Doreen) Ragle of Bonita Springs, FL, two sisters: JoAnne Earley of West Branch, MI and Gena (Cecil) Smith of Champaign.

Danny was preceded by his parents, two brothers: Charles and Bill Ragle, two sisters: Dorothy Darby and Grace Proud.

Danny formerly worked as a truck driver for Dietrich Trucking and he retired from Woodworth & Sons Trucking in 2007. He helped to farm for many years, working for JR Decker, Steve Warters and Mark Wesch. Danny worked part-time for the Village of Pesotum for several years.

Danny served his country as a member of the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Pesotum American Legion #0580.

Danny was very meticulous with his cars, motorcycles and his home. He loved antique tractors, getting his Sunday haircuts, going on fishing trips to Wisconsin, spending time with his D.A. associates and with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Danny was a very generous and loving man whom will be missed by many.

The family would like to thank Dr. Chaudhry and nurse Colleen for taking such good care of Danny during his illness.

Memorials are suggested to Presence Rainbow Hospice or Arthur Southern Baptist Church.
