Danny D. Lee, 81, of Atwood, IL, passed away at 1:57 am, Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Arbor Rose Adult Daycare and Memory Care Facility of Tolono, IL.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Penn Station, Arthur IL. A time of remembrance and reflection will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by refreshments and fellowship until 4:00 p.m. There will be a jamming corner for those who wish to participate as well as special performances by family and friends.
Danny was born April 13, 1943 in Shelbyville, IL, the son of Virgil R. and Rosalie (Ridell) Lee. Danny married Constance E Kleiss, on December 21, 1961 in Pesotum, IL. Together they were blessed with three children, gained with unconditional love their spouses, cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Danny leaves behind his wife of 63 years, his children: Brian R. (Diane) Lee, Jeffrey D. (Amy) Lee and Kristin L. (Christopher) Rice, grandchildren: Jennifer (Grant) Natschke, Jessica (Jahaun) Shirazi, Cassie (Tim)Bailey, Steven (Rebecca) Hopkins and Paityn R. (Lydia) O'Connor, great-grandchildren: Landon Natschke, Avery Natschke, Aria Shirazi, Elaina Shirazi and Savannah Hopkins, sister: Linda (George) Keeler of Laurel, MT, and brother: Larry (Sandy) Lee of Monticello, IL, 7 nieces and nephews that he adored.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: James Lee and Richard "Dick" Lee both of Tuscola IL.
Danny retired from Cabot Corp. with 37 Years of service. He loved to fish, dabbled in HAM radio, rock tumbling/polishing and jewelry making. But his God given talent was music. He passed down, encouraged and connected with many through his singing and guitar playing.
The family would like to thank Arbor Rose, Transitions Hospice and everyone who has reached out with kind words and prayers.
