Daniel A. Miller, 81, of Garrett, died at 2:52 AM Wednesday January 11, 2012 at the Arthur Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the Arthur Mennonite Church, 710 E. Park Street, Arthur, with Rev. Glen Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in the Arthur Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 PM Friday at Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur.
Daniel was born July 5, 1930 in Douglas County, the son of Ammon and Mattie Miller.
Survivors include 2 sons, Philip (Mary) Miller of Flower Mound, Texas; Ron (Jeanne) Miller of Conroe, Texas; 1 brother, Eli Miller of Arthur; 1 sister of Indiana; 2 step granddaughters, Natalie Wood of Seattle, Washington; and Hailey Wood of Denton, Texas.
Daniel was a member of the Arthur Mennonite Church. He was a carpenter and loved to make items that he donated to the Mennonite Relief Sale.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
