Daniel L. Kelly, 61, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 5:08 A.M., Sunday, August 10, 2008.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 13, 2008, at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL, with the Rev. Scott Zorn officiating. Visitation will be held at 5:00 – 8:00 P.M., Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery with military graveside rites accorded.

Dan was born on October 26, 1946 in Macomb, IL, the son of James and Audrey Wheeler Kelly. He married Connie J. Rebman on November 29, 1969 in Macomb, IL. She survives.

Other survivors include: 1 Son: Bradley Kelly of Pesotum, IL, 1 Daughter: Missy Pankau and husband: Mark of Tuscola, IL, 3 Grandchildren: Cody, Ashley and Zachary Pankau, 7 Brothers: James Kelly of Cody, WY, Roger Kelly of Steeleville, IL, Bill Kelly of Industry, IL, Don Kelly and Tom Kelly both of Steeleville, IL, Jack Kelly of Cody, WY and Gayle Kelly of Byron, WY, 3 Sisters: Mary Jockisch of Rushville, IL, Martha Fouts of Macomb, IL, Margaret Kelly of Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother: Robert Kelly

Dan was a former coal mine manager for Ziegler Coal Company, Murdock, IL. He was an employee of the City of Tuscola. He served his country as a member of the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was the past commander and very active member of the T.K. Martin VFW Post #10009, Tuscola, IL. He was a member of the Tuscola Masonic Lodge #332, AF & AM. Dan enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his grandchildren.
