Dale Eugene Vance, 83, of Humboldt, died at 8:02 p.m. Monday, April 22,2019 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon.

Graveside Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2019 at the Humboldt Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Shrader Funeral Home, Arcola, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Vance of Humboldt; daughter, Angie Davis of Humboldt; granddaughter, Angel Jordan of Humboldt; 2 great granddaughters, Ivy and Elizabeth Jordan; brother, Fred (Jan) Vance of Humboldt; great niece, Hali; and his dog, Barney. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister; niece, Amie Ade; and great nephew, Hayden.

Dale was born March 4, 1936 in Humboldt, the son of John C. and Oral Molee Bennett Vance. He married Betty Andres in Charleston on February 14, 1959; they celebrated 60 years of marriage.

Dale drove a truck for Rosebud Farms, MasterBrand Cabinets, and Penski. After retiring, he was the caretaker for the Humboldt Cemetery for 12 years.
