Dale Eugene Scott, 95, of Arthur, died at 10:07 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Carle Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 1, 2024 at the Arthur First Baptist Church with Pastor John Stewart and Pastor Darrell Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Arthur Cemetery.  Visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral service at the church.  Shrader Funeral Home, Arthur, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Dale was born in the month of May 1929 in Hindsboro, Illinois the son of James Roy (1984) and Mamie Marie (Prosser) Scott (2004).  He married Theda Strader on August 2, 2002.

He is survived by his wife Theda (Strader) Scott of Athur; 4 sons, Bruce (Jill) Scott of Sarasota, Florida; Gary (Joyce) Scott of Cedar Lake, Indiana; Larry Scott of Hollywood, Florida; Mark (Ginee) Scott of Louisville, Kentucky; 4 stepsons, Larry (Jan) Miller of Arthur; Darrell (Cathy) Miller of Bean Blossom, Indiana; Scott (Trish) Miller of Arthur; Tim (Monica) Miller of Humboldt; stepdaughter, Judy (Leonard) Beachy of Arthur; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren .

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Brian Scott, who died shortly after birth.

Dale's deceased brothers were Myron D. Scott, Camargo, IL. (2011) and Wayne R. Scott, (2012).

Dale was a graduate of the Villa Grove Class of 1947. He retired from USI Quantum Corp. in 1991.  He was a member of the Arthur First Baptist Church.
