Dale A. Ray, 76, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 7:50 p.m., Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at the Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL.

Graveside Services will be held immediately following the visitation at the Camargo Cemetery, Camargo, IL with Rev. Joe Carter officiating.

Dale was born on April 1, 1946 in Tuscola, the son of Lewis Ivan and Flossie Wells Ray. He married Geri Martin on December 24, 2015 at their home in Tuscola. She survives.

Also surviving are his daughters: Kimara (Todd) Kresin of Tuscola, Kristin (Brett) Winn of Hindsboro, grandchildren: Dane Winn of Eugene, OR, Peyton (Tyler) Fleck of Waco, TX, Cade Kresin of Tuscola and Jessica (Kyle) Stewart and their sons: Kaleb and John of Camargo, brother: Charles Ray of Camargo, sister: Carolyn Kappes of Villa Grove and other extended family members: Chuck Martin, Gene Martin, Mark Martin and Tonya Bailey and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson: Broc Winn, brothers: Roy, Claude and Floyd Ray, sister: Betty Croy and Justin Martin.

Dale worked as a truck driver for JMT Transport for many years. He also helped his son-in-law haul grain during harvest time. Dale enjoyed camping, fishing, deer hunting and remodeling homes. He was an avid Fighting Illini, Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and Tuscola Warrior fan. He was a member of the Tuscola Moose Lodge.

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
