Obituary
Dale A. McGinn, 77, of Queen Creek, AZ, formerly of Atwood, IL, passed away at 7:08 AM, Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at the Arizona Heart Hospital, Phoenix, AZ.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, March 15, 2009 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 E. US Highway 36, Atwood, IL with the Dr. Lanny Faulkner officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:30 P.M., on Sunday until time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Arcola Cemetery, Arcola, IL with military graveside rites.
Mr. McGinn was born November 9, 1931 in Garrett Township, IL, the son of Everett Edward and Clovy "Edith" Hines McGinn.
Survivors include One Son: Rod McGinn of Queen Creek, AZ; One Daughter: Karen McGinn of Big Rapids, MI; and One Sister: Lucille Miller of Lincoln, IL and a niece: Phyllis Metzger of Decatur, IL
Mr. McGinn was preceded in death by his parents, Son: Ricky McGinn, and 6 Brothers and 3 Sisters.
Dale was a Vietnam and Korean War Veteran, serving in the US Air Force as a pilot and flight engineer. He was a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association, TREA, and the American Legion. He attended the First Baptist Church of Atwood.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion.
