Dale E. Gulley, 73, of Hammond, IL, passed away at 4:45 pm, Sunday, June 28, 2009 at the Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL
Graveside Services with military graveside rites will be held at 11 am, Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL, with the Rev. Michael J. Ruhlig officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL.
Mr. Gulley was born on January 11, 1936 in Tompkinsville, KY, the son of Sam and Minerva Turner Gulley.
Survivors include his Daughter: Tammy Chitwood of Hammond, IL, 2 Brothers: James "Don" Gulley of Atwood, IL, Lynn Gulley of Tuscola, IL, 3 Sisters: Betty Myers of Champaign, IL, Virginia Mulvaney of Humboldt, IL, Janice Davis of Atwood, IL, 4 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 brothers.
Dale was a former electrician for Progress Industries in Arthur, IL. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
