Creta J. Danielson, 70, of Bement, IL, passed away at 9:15 am, Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at the Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana, IL
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL with Rev. Duane Piercy officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 am until the time of services on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Bement Township Cemetery, Bement, IL
Creta was born on May 10, 1942 in Moultrie County, IL, the daughter of Marhall Lee and Thelma Angie Kestner Conour. She married Lindsey Danielson on July 27, 1979 in Bement, IL. He preceded her in death on May 9, 2000.
Survivors include her daughters: Tina McKnight of Decatur, IL, Diane Parrish and husband: Robert of Lovington, IL, Stephanie Cahill and husband: John of Bement, IL, step-son: Lindsey Danielson, Jr. of Florida, 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers: Thomas Conour of Mattoon, IL, Ronald Conour of Decatur, IL and Richard Conour of Atwood, IL, 4 sisters: Cynthia Ann Avery of Arthur, IL, Sue Moss of Red Boiling Springs, TN, Cheryl Chapman of Atwood, IL, and Sharon Eckart of Hammond, IL
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
Creta retired from General Cable Company in Monticello, IL, where she worked for 25 years. She and her husband owned and operated Danielson's Auto Repair in Bement for several years. Creta enjoyed spending time with her daughters, brothers, sisters and grandchildren.
