Constance A. "Connie" Cuppy, 89, of Mattoon, formerly of Humboldt, died at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, April 21, 2019 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust Street, Arcola, with Rev. Doug McClellan officiating. Burial will follow in the Humboldt Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Connie was born January 23, 1930 in Humboldt, the daughter of William Carter and Elnora May Payne Cuppy.

She is survived by several cousins who loved her dearly.

She graduated from Humboldt High School in 1949 and then attended Utterback Business School in Mattoon. She worked as a secretary for Callahan's Insurance Agency and later for Senteney Insurance Agency. She also worked at the Cuppy-Wyeth Elevator in Humboldt until it sold to new owners in the early seventies.

Connie was a member of the Arcola First Baptist Church and the Humboldt Rebekah Lodge #704. She was a correspondent for an area newspaper relaying "Humboldt News."
