Clyde Edward Daily, 88, of Atwood, IL, died at 2:58 PM, Thursday, April 20, 2006 at the St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, Illinois

Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM, Monday, April 24, 2006 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL, with the Rev. Jarred Edgecombe officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-6 PM, Sunday, April 23, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the LaPlace Cemetery, LaPlace, Illinois.

Mr. Daily was born on July 25, 1917 in Delafield, IL, the son of James Harvey and Lockie Lance Daily. He married Myrtle Louise Nofrey on August 22, 1938 in LaPlace, IL. She preceded him in death on August 1, 2003.

Survivors include: 2 Sons: Ronald Daily and wife: Maryanne of Arthur, IL, Douglas Daily and wife: Twilla of Cerro Gordo, IL, 1 Daughter: Loretta Edgecombe and husband: Dan of Casner, IL, 10 Grandchildren, 20 Great-Grandchildren, 6 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 1 Son: Larry Daily, 1 Granddaughter: Rhonda Morris, 1 Brother, 6 Sisters.

Mr. Daily retired from Archer Daniels Midland Company in Decatur, IL, where he had worked as a millwright for 35 1/2 years. He was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church, Arcola, IL. He has always enjoyed being around people. Condolences to the family may be sent the hilligossshraderfh.com
