Clarence W. Lucas, Jr., 77, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 8:35 AM, Sunday, December 9, 2007 at the Tuscola Health Care Center, Tuscola, IL

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial with military graveside rites will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL

Mr. Lucas was born on September 19, 1930 in Bloomington, IL, the son of Clarence W. and Dorothy Walker Lucas. He married Mary J. Lucas on December 31, 1952 in Leroy, IL. She preceded him in death on October 24, 2006.

Survivors include: 1 Daughter: Nancy R. Crossman of Tuscola, IL, 4 Grandchildren: Marc Crossman, Will Lucas, Shane Lucas and Brandy Smith, 4 Great-Grandchildren: Marcus Crossman, Abigail Crossman, Dominic Smith and Christian Smith

He was preceded in death by his Parents, 1 Son: Curtis L. Lucas, 1 Daughter: Susan K. Smith and 1 Brother: Larry Lucas

Mr. Lucas retired from USI-Quantum Chemical Company in Tuscola, IL, where he worked as a painter in the maintenance department for over 30 years. He was a US Army Veteran. He was a member of the Tuscola Moose Lodge and the Mattoon Eagles. Clarence loved to go fishing.
