Clarence H. Eiben, 94, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 1:30 p.m., Monday, November 28, 2011 at the Heartland Health Care Center, Champaign, IL
Graveside Services with military graveside rites will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 2, 2011 at the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Danforth, IL. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL is entrusted with the arrangements.
Mr. Eiben was born on November 8, 1917 in Danforth, IL, the son of Frank and Anna Schroeder Eiben. He married Hettie Millsaps McLemore on September 2, 1958. She preceded him in death on March 3, 2003.
Survivors include1 son: Warner (Cindy) Eiben of Tuscola, IL, 1 step-son: Archie McLemore of Anderson, IN, 3 daughters: Peggy Ann Thompson of FL, Linda Joan Kirk of Herscher, IL, Christina Jaros of Morris, IL, step-daughter: Priscilla White of Jacksonville, FL, 22 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-son: Billy J. McLemore and brother: Henry Eiben
Mr. Eiben was a retired farmer. He served his country as a member of the US Army during World War II in Eastern Europe.
Memorials are suggested to American Red Cross.
