Clarence E. "Batch" Conner, 90, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 7:10 a.m. Friday, April 9, 2010 at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 S. Main Street, Tuscola, IL with the Rev. Ralph Deal officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial with military rites will be held at the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL.
Mr. Conner was born October 28, 1919 in Hindsboro, IL, the son of Charles E. and Stella F. Bush Conner. He married Naomi L. Bolin on May 6, 1944 in Hindsboro, IL. She survives.
Other survivors include 3 Sons: Clarence Edgar Conner of Tuscola; Michael (Martha) Conner of Virginia Beach, VA; and Bernard T. (Denise) Conner of Green Bay, WI; 1 Daughter: Catherine (Ray) Northway of Champaign, IL; 3 Brothers: Edgar Conner of Tuscola; Harland "Hop" Conner of Tuscola; and Carl Conner of Ft. Myers, FL; 9 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren.
Mr. Conner was preceded in death by 5 Sisters and 4 Brothers.
Clarence was a US Army Veteran serving his country during World War II. He was a batcher at the Tuscola Builders Supply for 30 years. He was a member of the Tuscola United Church of Christ, lifetime member of the VFW and a member of the Labor Union.
