Chloanne R. Greathouse, 77, of Arcola, died at 10:45 PM Friday, March 18, 2011 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust Street, Arcola with Rev. Vince Rohn officiating. Burial will follow in the Villa Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Chloanne was born January 18, 1934 in Villa Grove the daughter of Glenn and Esther Loy Reedy. She married James Greathouse.

Survivors include 4 daughters, Lee Ann Davis of Decatur; Elaine Komada of Charleston; Malinda (Dick) Reece of Arcola; Jami Greathouse and special friend Tammie Lovett of Urbana; grandchildren, Cynthia Davis of Decatur; Jimmy Kay (Stevie) Vandeventer of Camargo; April Karpus of Effingham; Jessie (Adam) Clapp of Arcola; Ashley Karpus of Charleston; Tony Komada of Charleston; great grandson, Thomas Vandeventer of Camargo; 1 sister, Janice Sutton of Shelbyville, Kentucky; 2 brothers, Terry Reedy of Labadieville, Louisiana; and James Reedy of Charleston, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Chloanne graduated from Villa Grove High School Class of 1952 and was voted Pancake
Queen in October, 1951. She attended college at Elkhart, Indiana for 2 years. She was a member of the Hindsboro United Methodist Church and a constituent member of the Arcola United Methodist Church.

Chloanne was Director of Court of Claims for State of Illinois in Springfield ; she was a member and past state president of Illinois Federation of Republican Women; past president of Douglas County Republican Women; 4-H leader; member of the Sunshine Rotary of Arcola where she was Rotarian of the Year 2007-2008; member of the Galton Ladies Club; Home Extension; and Beth's Place advocate. She was a member and past worthy matron of the Villa Grove Order of the Eastern Star.
