Cheryl "Sherri" Lynn Schable, 62, of Urbana, formerly of Arthur, died at 12:04 AM Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Carle Hospital, Urbana.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at the Arthur Cemetery with Rev. Joe Carter officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM Monday at Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur.
Sherri was born June 16, 1949 in Mattoon the daughter of Delmar and Bonnie Collins Jewell. She married Carlyle Dennis Schable in Arthur on August 23, 1968; he preceded her in death on Jan. 8, 1993.
Survivors include her mother, Bonnie Cox of Pesotum; 2 sons, Jeff (Michelle) Schable; Scott (Kellie) Schable all of Wheat Ridge, Colorado; brother, Michael Cox of Benton, Kentucky; 4 sisters, Joyce (Danny) Ragle of Pesotum; Joy (Jerry) Gabel of Urbana; Deborah Kaden of Pesotum; Marla (Terry) Morris, of Batvia, Ohio; and 6 grandchildren; Levi, Beth, Carly, Gabe, Addison, and Jack; and special friend of 20 years, Frank Evans.
Sherri was a 1967 graduate of Arthur High School. She was a member of the Arthur United Methodist Church and worked as a child care provider.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
