Chase Bryce Steenburg, 35, of Lerna, died at 10:02 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon.

Chase was born March 23, 1987 in Westminster, Colorado, the son of Bryce and Eileen Galioto Steenburg.  He married Mechelle Hernandez on May 1, 2011 at Walnut Point near Oakland.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2022 with visitation one hour prior to the service at Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust Street, Arcola.   Pastor Dick Miller will officiate.

He is survived by his wife, Mechelle Steenburg of Lerna; daughter, Emmalyn at home; parents, Bryce and Eileen Steenburg of Mattoon; aunts, Christine Bradow and Tommy Spencer of Gays; Marie Taylor of Benton; Jackie Cobble and husband Dave of Mattoon; Jan Steenburg of Aurora, Colorado; Martha Ackerman of Kansas City, Kansas; uncles, Ray Hallis and wife Randee of Benton; David Hallis of Benton; Martin Galioto of Mattoon; grandmother, Rosemary Hallis of Benton; and many cousins.

Chase was a graduate of Mattoon High School and earned an Associate Degree in graphic design at Lakeland College.
