Charlotte Richards, 100, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 4:33 pm, Friday, January 28, 2011 at the Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana, IL

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, February 5, 2011 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL,
Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm, with Eastern Star Services at 7:00 pm on Friday, February 4, 2011 at the funeral home. Graveside Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday the Riverside Cemetery, Newton, IL

Mrs. Richards was born on December 21, 1910 in Willow Hill, IL, the daughter of Thomas Cooper and Grace Atterberry Wiseman. She married Robert Eck Richards on October 13, 1930 in Flora, IL. He preceded her in death on January 14, 1969.

Survivors include her grandchildren: Kathy Meyerink of Omaha, NE and Brad Richards of China, 3 Great-Grandchildren: Drew Heckman, Blakely Heckman and Charlotte Meyerink all of Omaha, NE, nephew: Bruce Barkley of Galesburg, IL and niece: Marilyn Pustmueller of Essex, IL

She was preceded in death by her son: Thomas L. Richards, 1 sister: Maxine Wiseman and 2 brothers

Memorials are suggested to the Tuscola United Church of Christ

Mrs. Richards was a homemaker and member of the Tuscola United Church of Christ. She was a member and was past matron of the Tuscola Chapter #44 Order of Eastern Star. Charlotte was an avid and formidable Scrabble player, even at 100, she was rarely beaten at the game!
