Charlotte Marie Mosbarger, 81, of Atwood, IL, passed away at 11:11 a.m., Thursday, August 21, 2014 at the Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL, where she was battling cancer.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 24, 2014 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL, with Rev. Don Gerkin officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lake Fork Cemetery, rural Atwood, IL.

Charlotte was born in Piatt County, IL on June 12, 1933 to William and Leah Tryon Thompson. She married James Edward Mosbarger on May 27, 1955 in Pekin, IL. He preceded her in death on January 28, 2014.

Survivors include her children: Carol Mosbarger of Atwood, IL, Karen Tucker of Arthur, IL, Sharon (Bill) Bahnke of Palm Bay, FL, Donna Jo (Ray) Bell of Normal, IL, Gary (Wanda) Mosbarger of Hammond, IL, and Rick Mosbarger of Normal, IL, grandchildren: Jeremy Tucker, Heather Mosbarger, Derek Mosbarger and Nicole Mosbarger, brother: Robert "Bob" Thompson of Belleville, IL, many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother: William "Bill" Thompson and sisters: Helen Collins and Maxine Kingery.

Charlotte was a beloved mother and grandmother, who will be deeply missed.

Memorials are suggested to the Atwood Christian Church.
