Charles Edward Stephenson, 70, of rural Atwood, IL, died at 11:35 A.M., Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at the Helia Health Care Center, Urbana, IL

Funeral & Masonic Services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, April 21, 2007 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL, with the Rev. Don Gerkin officiating. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL.

Mr. Stephenson was born on November 8, 1936 in Decatur, IL, the son of Marion and Edna Billman Stephenson.

Survivors include 1 Son: Robert Stephenson and wife: Kay of Henderson, NC, 1 Brother: Stanley Stephenson and wife: Mary of Tuscola, IL, 1 Sister: Marilyn Dunham and husband: Bill of Prescott, AZ,
1 Granddaughter: Christina Franklin of Henderson, NC

He was preceded in death by his Parents, 1 Daughter: Sue Stephenson

Mr. Stephenson was a farmer and landscaper. He was a member of the Atwood Christian Church. He was a life member and past master of the Atwood Masonic Lodge #651, AF & AM. He was a member of the Valley of Springfield Consistory and the Ansar Shrine of Springfield, IL. He played bass for the Gene Trimble Orchestra and for the Gene Trimble Clown Band for 25 years. He was a 20 year member of AA.
