Charles F. (Fred) Dillon, 89, of Tuscola, IL passed away at 4:00 a.m., Friday, July 29, 2016 at the Tuscola Health Care Center, Tuscola. IL.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, Tuscola is assisting the family.
Fred and the former Connie McDonough were married on February 27, 1954 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Urbana.
They are the parents of Kim (Gary) Lytle of Tuscola, Melynda (Don) Kroll of Canon City, CO, and Mary Dilliner of Durham, N.C. Their grandchildren are Jennifer (Jim) Lewis and Matt (Jodi) Lytle of Tuscola, Mykel and Myranda Kroll of Colorado, and Makayla (Jairon) Downs of North Carolina. Their great-grandchildren are Ashley, Jordan, and Caitlan Lewis of Tuscola, Ke'le'Kirkley of Neoga, and Brynn and Mercer Downs of North Carolina.
Fred worked 35 years at USI in Tuscola. Prior to that he served in the U.S. Army in Korea.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
