Charles E. "Chuck" Dewey, 83, of Tuscola, passed away at 10:35 a.m., Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Mattoon Rehab and Health Care Center, Mattoon, IL

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL. Burial will be in the Arcola Cemetery with military graveside rites accorded.

Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

A luncheon will be held at the Ag Center, 900 S. Washington St, Tuscola, IL following the services.

Chuck was born on August 24, 1941 in Chicago, the son of Lester M. Dewey and Mary E. Roedell French. He married Katherine D. Hood on July 9, 1966 in Tuscola. She survives.

Also surviving is his daughter: Bonnie Dewey of Tuscola, son: Byran (Tammy) Dewey of Arcola, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, Rory Dewey and Dan Strandboe, sister: Grace Dewey.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers.

Chuck was a veteran of the US Army. He formerly worked as a security guard. He was a member of the Tuscola Moose Lodge.
