Charles A. Beck, 90, of Urbana, IL formerly of Tuscola, IL passed away at 3:26 P.M. Sunday, October 12, 2008 at Carle Arbours, Savoy, IL.

Funeral Services will be 11 AM Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 S. Main St., Tuscola, IL with Rev. Mike Rutledge officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery.

Mr. Beck was born March 13, 1918 in Strasburg, Illinois the son of Earl and Bertha Richards Beck. Mr. Beck was a baptized member of the Strasburg Baptist Church.

After having graduated from Strasburg High School in 1936, Mr. Beck moved to Tuscola where he worked for several years at the W. A. Fullerton Bakery. He later was a construction worker until his retirement in 1983. He was a 50 year member of Labor Union 593 (now 171) where he served as union treasurer.

Charles married Martha Frye Moore in 1952. He has two adopted Daughters: Marilyn (Bill) Bohlen of Urbana, IL; and Christine Dunnagan of Tuscola IL; 4 Granddaughters: Denise Rowe of Urbana, IL; Donna (Rick) Donze of Champaign, IL; Candi (Troy) Richmond of Urbana, IL; and Andrea Watson of Gillette, WY; 4 Grandsons: James Junkins of Noblesville, IN; Timothy (Crystal) Chipman of Albuquerque, NM; Jarrod (Tonya) Chipman of Monticello, IL; and Aaron (Elisa) Chipman of Palm Coast, FL and 14 Great-Grandchildren.

Mr. Beck was preceded in death by his Parents, 1 Brother and 1 Sister.
