Charlene Dick, 84, of Windsor died at 6:54 PM Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at the Sullivan Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Friday, February 12, 2010 at the Arthur United Methodist Church, 128 E. Illinois Street, Arthur, with Reverends Leroy Allison and John Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in the Arthur Cemetery. There will be no graveside service. Visitation will be held from 9:30-11:30 AM Friday at the church. Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Charlene was born at home in Arthur to Grace (Kinney) and Charles F. Dillon on May 9, 1925.
She married Arthur B. Haws in Arthur in 1947; he preceded her in death in 1959. She married Delbert B. Dick in Arthur in 1963 and he survives.

Survivors include her husband, Delbert B. Dick, of Windsor; daughter, Vicki Connolly of Greenbrier, Tennessee; son, Michael Haws of Chicago; step-daughter, Trudy Horseman of Sullivan; step-son, Steve Dick of Washington; grandchildren, Kristin Hulsizer and Brent Giberson; great grandchildren, Madison Parker and Trace Dudley; niece, Calene Kohn; nephews, Brett and Clint Dillon; and brother, William Dillon of Arthur. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Arthur B. Haws, and daughter, Janis Sue Kahn.

Charlene was a graduate of Arthur High School and a member of the Arthur United Methodist Church. She had worked as a phone operator and was a farm wife.

Charlene's joys included spending time with her grandchildren and devoted friends, her love of crafts and sewing, watching every Illini game possible, and baking treats for others.
