Obituary
Caroline Irene Landgrebe, 75, was carried into Heaven on August 1, 2014 at 12:15 a.m. with her sisters and brother-in-laws, Marie and Dick Workman and Martha and Monte Moit by her side.
She was born October 29, 1938 in Decatur, IL the daughter of Fred and Zada Landgrebe.
She served in the Navy from 1958 until 1961 as a Navy Clerk. While serving she played basketball and baseball on a traveling team for the Navy. She won many trophies.
She leaves behind 2 brothers: Donald (Judy deceased) Landgrebe of Decatur, IL and Dean Landgrebe of Warrensburg, MO; 5 sisters: Zola (Tommy deceased) Copeland of Decatur, IL; Joyce and Harold Dunham of Maroa, IL; Ruth (Red deceased) Foster of Maroa, IL; Martha and Monte Moit of Normal, IL and Marie and Dick Workman of Richmond, MO whom she lived with since January 2014. Also extended family from Cleveland, OH, whom she spent a lot of time with; Rick, Louise, Renee and Loretta Novak along with several nieces and nephews from Illinois, Missouri and Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers: Leonard, Merlin and Larry Landgrebe.
Graveside services with military rites accorded will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the Hammond Cemetery, Hammond, IL.
