Bruce E. "Long Hair" Rahn, 60, of Hindsboro, IL, passed away at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon, IL.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, April 28, 2014 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL with Pastor David Smith officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.. Burial will be in the Lewis Cemetery, rural Tuscola, IL.

Mr. Rahn was born July 8, 1953 in Tuscola, IL, the son of Merle L. and Norma Anne Christian Rahn.

He is survived by a brother: Cary Rahn and wife: Beth of Bourbon, IL; sister: Theresa Fields and husband: Corky of Villa Grove, IL; 6 nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his dogs: Zeke and Duke.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and brother: Kevin Rahn.

Bruce was a 1971 graduate of Tuscola Community High School. He worked various jobs around the United States for several years. He retired from the University of Illinois after 19 years of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
